After initial pilots in the winter semester 2021/22, the e-examination centre in the Erwin-Schrödinger-Zentrum has started regular operations for the summer semester 2022. There are 100 seats available per examination session. Outside exam times, the computers can be used as public computer workstations. Access is then via the library. In individual cases, the space available is supplemented for particularly large cohorts by e-examinations in the Grimm Centre on the Mitte Campus.

Workstations and equipment

The examination centre consists of three interconnected PC pools. The large central room accommodates 60 workstations, the two adjoining training rooms 20 workstations each. In total, 100 computers are available for each examination session.
The computers are all-in-one computers with a 25'' screen (63.5 cm), which has the following connections, among others: USB-C, USB-A, headphones, SD card and HDMI. A keyboard and a mouse (right-handed) are connected. Other external devices can be connected via the available ports if necessary. The screens are covered with privacy films, the training rooms are additionally equipped with privacy walls.

Location and access

The e-examination centre is located on the ground floor of the Erwin-Schrödinger-Zentrum (Rudower Chaussee 26, 12489 Berlin). For exams, access is from the foyer via a glass door to the left of the library entrance. This way, the controlled area of the library does not have to be entered. It is therefore not necessary to lock up jackets and bags.
